Summit ESC Earns Top Workplace Honors for Second Straight Year

The Summit Educational Service Center (ESC) has been awarded a 2019 Top Workplaces honor by The Plain Dealer. The list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by research partner Energage, LLC, a leading provider of technology-based employee engagement tools. The anonymous survey measures several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution, and connection, just to name a few. This is the second consecutive year that the Summit ESC has been named a Top Workplace.

“Top Workplaces is more than just recognition,” said Doug Claffey, CEO of Energage. “Our research shows organizations that earn the award attract better talent, experience lower turnover, and are better equipped to deliver bottom-line results. Their leaders prioritize and carefully craft a healthy workplace culture that supports employee engagement.”

The Summit ESC is dedicated to providing administrative, curricular, instructional, instructional technology, pupil personnel, and professional development services to the schools of Summit and surrounding counties in Northeast Ohio and assisting them in reaching their educational objectives. These services are primarily designed to assist boards of education, administrators, teachers, and other staff members so that they may provide engaging work to students and services that help students learn.

“It is truly an honor to be named a Top Workplace award recipient for the second consecutive year,” said Summit ESC Superintendent Joe Iacano. “It is our mission to provide our districts with the top leadership and educational services possible. We are able to provide this through an outstanding team. This award is a testament to the dedication our staff members have for serving our districts and one another. They make this an incredible place to work!”

“Becoming a Top Workplace isn’t something organizations can buy,” Claffey said. “It’s an achievement organizations have worked for and a distinction that gives them a competitive advantage. It’s a big deal.”
