The Summit Educational Service Center (ESC) has been awarded a 2018 Top Workplaces honor by The Plain Dealer. The list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by research partner Energage
, LLC (formerly WorkplaceDynamics), a leading provider of technology-based employee engagement tools. The anonymous survey measures several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution, and connection, just to name a few.
“Top Workplaces is more than just recognition,” said Doug Claffey
, CEO of Energage. “Our research shows organizations that earn the award attract better talent, experience lower turnover, and are better equipped to deliver bottom-line results. Their leaders prioritize and carefully craft a healthy workplace culture that supports employee engagement.”
The Summit ESC is dedicated to providing administrative, curricular, instructional, instructional technology, pupil personnel, and professional development services to the schools of Summit and surrounding counties in Northeast Ohio and assisting them in reaching their educational objectives. These services are primarily designed to assist boards of education, administrators, teachers, and other staff members so that they may provide engaging work to students and services that help students learn.
“At the Summit ESC, serving our member districts is our top priority and we do so by employing talented, high-quality professionals, who are leading experts in their fields,” said Summit ESC Superintendent Joe Iacano. “Our employees are truly passionate about helping the districts that we serve and making an impact on the lives of students across Northeast Ohio. This passion, which is felt throughout the culture of the Summit ESC, paired with the commitment to providing top-notch resources our member districts, is what makes the Summit ESC such a great workplace.”
“Becoming a Top Workplace isn’t something organizations can buy,” Claffey said. “It’s an achievement organizations have worked for and a distinction that gives them a competitive advantage. It’s a big deal.”
