A visual impairment, as defined by IDEA, is a low incidence disability. However, not all visual impairments are easily identifiable, and the role of the Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments can easily be misunderstood. In this presentation, you will learn how to improve the Child Find for these students, what to expect from the Functional Vision and Learning Media Assessment, and the different service roles that a TVI might be able to provide.
