Evaluation & Management of Auditory Processing Deficits on January 24, 2023 from 9:00-11:30.
Classrooms are auditory environments and much of a student’s day is spent listening.  Approximately 5% of school children in the US are estimated to have some type of auditory processing difficulties. APD can have implications for academic achievement, participation, and psychosocial development.  In this presentation, learners will be able to identify common causes of auditory processing, red flags and screening mechanisms for referral,  audiologist test battery and educational implications for learning, collaborative role of the educational team, and common treatment and therapy interventions.  Current research about how APD can coexist with other learning and developmental  disabilities including ASD, ADD, dyslexia, language disorder, visual processing, and history of middle ear infections will be shared.  What we do with what we hear is foundation to educational success.

We plan our programming based on your registration.  Therefore, your district will be accountable for payment for any unexcused we will not issue refunds if you do not attend.
