Transition is something each of us deal with throughout our lives. Whether it is transitioning from high school to college or into a new job, it can be both exciting and stressful. For students with disabilities, it is imperative that we start the transition process early in student's school career and utilize a "team" approach. This session will provide information on the related service provider's role in transition practice and to expand knowledge of those practices. We will discuss what transition is and isn't, postsecondary outcomes for people with disabilities, legislative requirements, the value of self-determination, and much more.
