This session will use the book Proven Strategies That Work for Teaching Gifted & Advanced Learners by Kathleen McConnell Fad & Gail Ryser as a springboard for conversations around how to meet the academic needs of gifted students in the regular classroom. (September 24)
Teachers will be provided a copy of the book during the first session, and examples of strategies would be presented.
During the follow-up session: (November 17)
- Teachers will bring examples of the units/lessons they had created using the strategies from the book.
- We will also problem-solve through issues such as classroom management, accessibility, etc.
