While school psychologists are generally well-versed in the legal statutory practices that govern our speciality's work, most have little exposure to legal processes such as due process or civil rights investigations. Despite this absence of preparation, many school psychologists will have to provide testimony or participate in litigated proceedings at some point in their career. This presentation will seek to provide essential background in testimony, evidence, and self-care in such contentious and litigious circumstances.
