THIS SESSION HAS BEEN CANCELLED

Do you deal with angry children, parents, or even colleagues?  Learning to de-escalate a situation quickly can mean the difference between chaos and growth.  Susan Tucker, MSW, LISW-S will discuss ways to lower the emotion and get to problem solving in conflict situations.

This workshop is designed to help participants learn how to de-escalate angry people – adults and children. The skills taught will help participants become aware situations that can lead to angry interactions. Interactive exercises will teach participants the skills of disarming an angry person and using affect labeling to calm the situation and begin the problem-solving mode. Participants will learn how to make effective behavior agreements.
