Participants will:
Identify the ELA informational text standards that should be incorporated into social studies.
Briefly discuss high quality instruction/assessment and their connection to rigor/DOK.
View primary source teaching strategies and places to find resources.
Review vocabulary strategies to incorporate into social studies.
Identify and practice comprehension strategies that can be used when teaching with content area texts.
