Participants will learn about the Ohio School Counselor Evaluation System. The performance of each school counselor will be evaluated by a standards based assessment in conjunction with their ability to produce positive student outcomes determined by LEA's. The system, includes samples of effective practices, explains how to implement school counselor evaluations according to state law and the State Board framework. To be a certified evaluator of school counselors in the state of Ohio, an individual must complete a one day training delivered by an OSCES state trainer. Training is for evaluators of school counselors and school counselors (who have an interest in learning more about the evaluation tool)

We plan our programming based on your registration. Therefore, your district will be accountable for payment for any unexcused we will not issue refunds if you do not attend.

As a guest of our ESC, we ask that you do not enter the building if you are sick, have been exposed to COVID-19, have a cough, fever or experiencing shortness of breath. Guests are not required to wear masks, but are highly encouraged to do so. For the safety of all guests and ESC staff, we will not serve coffee, water or food during any of our meetings. We have list of local restaurants available for our guests.
