At the end of the session, participants will be able to identify the steps in the process of second language acquisition, difference between Basic Interpersonal Communication Skills (BICS) and Cognitive Academic Language Proficiency. Participants will use tools to determine level of supports in the general education setting based on data as well as feasible techniques to differentiate instruction in the general education classroom.
