Summit ESC Assists Revere Local Schools Board with Superintendent Search

(April 23, 2024) – Revere Local Schools is pleased to announce that Daniel White will be the district’s new Superintendent.  The Board voted unanimously to hire Mr. White during a special Board meeting this evening.  He is the current Superintendent of Keystone Local School District in LaGrange, Ohio.

“As a Board, we are excited to welcome Mr. White to Revere,” said Revere Board President Keith Malick.  “He is a proven educational leader whose experience and dedication will guide our district.  Mr. White is a results oriented leader with a commitment to authentic collaboration, effective communication and a genuine passion for students and staff.”

Malick said the information collected through staff, administration, students, parents, school support organizations and community member focus groups provided the Board with the qualities and characteristics Revere wanted to see in its next Superintendent. The Superintendent Search Forum also allowed for groups of staff, administrators, community members/parents and students to meet three finalists and provide feedback to the Board.

"I am deeply grateful to the Board of Education of Revere Local Schools for entrusting me with the role of Superintendent. It is an absolute honor and privilege to join the Revere community. Revere embodies a Superintendent's dream job, with its commitment to high student achievement and a staff dedicated to excellence,”  said Daniel White, incoming Revere Superintendent. “During the interview process, what stood out to me was the unwavering dedication of both the students and staff to achieving excellence. From the passionate educators to the driven students, it was evident that there is a culture of high expectations and a commitment to continuous improvement. This dedication to excellence is what makes Revere such an exceptional place for both teaching and learning, and I am eager to be a part of it."
White has been the Keystone Superintendent since 2018.  Prior to that time, he served as Director of Education in Midview Local School District and Director of Curriculum and Instruction and Assistant Principal in Keystone.  He began his career as an elementary teacher in Ashland City Schools.

White and his wife, Anna, have been married for 17 years. Anna is an opera singer, and is in the process of becoming a Respiratory Therapist. They live in Medina with their three children; Rose (10th Grade), Addie (5th Grade) and Luke (3rd Grade). All three attend Medina City Schools.

White has been given a three-year contract and will begin his position at Revere on August 1.  He also will be provided ten consulting days to work with our current Superintendent, Dr. Michael Tefs, to make for a seamless transition.  Dr. Tefs has been the Superintendent of Revere Local since 2021.
