Joseph Iacano, Superintendent
Joseph Iacano has been a resident of Akron, Ohio, and Summit County for over 30 years. He is a graduate of Kent State University and the University of Akron. During his career, he has served as an educator in Summit, Portage, Cuyahoga, and Lorain Counties. Prior to coming to the Summit ESC, he served in various districts as a teacher, coach, principal, curriculum director, and superintendent. He has served on several state-level committees including the State Report Card Committee, the International Education Committee, and the Closing the Achievement Gap Committee. His hobbies include travel, bicycling, and music. He is a die-hard fan of the Guardians, Browns, and Cavs!
